The American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee brought together leaders and professionals of Latin-American Jewish Institutions in the city of Cartagena, Colombia. Over 650 persons participated in this encounter and, through workshops, the organizations had the opportunity of sharing projects and experiences, as well as attending plenaries on subjects of interest with the participation of first level speakers. The Meeting had the special attendance of the President of Colombia, Álvaro Uribe. In representation of Tzedakah Foundation the attendants were: the President Mr. Jorge Stainfeld, Vice-President Armando Litvan, Ms. Miriam Stainfeld representing the Solidarity Women Commission, Lic. Ilana Lustgarten Executive Director, Psychologist Daniela Fuhrman Coordinator of Lev Gadol Program and Lic. Andrea Ghindelschi Assistant of Development Area.
In the activities of the different workshops the Foundation had the opportunity of presenting several of the Programmes that are being carried out in the Childhood Area, as well as inform of the fund-raising activities.
During the days of the meeting and continuing with the capacitation initiated last year, Ilana Lustgarten and Andrea Ghindelschi participated in the second specialization module of Leatid Programme for Community Leaders.
Through Alejandro Kladniew, Director of Joint, we want to thank and congratulate this institution for the support it provides to Tzedakah Foundation and for the organization of the Meeting which gave the possibility of getting to know and integrate the different Latin-American Communities.
