To revert the situation endured by hundreds of families in Uruguay the Jewish Community created its own Contingency plan. The Community Campaigns are based on the highest belief that we, Jews, are mutually responsible and have to help each other in difficult times.

In 2005 Tzedakah Foundation launched two annual fundraising campaigns, one to concur with Pesaj and the other one with Rosh Hashanah. These campaigns involve all members of the Uruguayan Jewish community. Information on the work of the Foundation and of the Programs developed to fulfill said mission was sent to the greatest possible number of Jewish homes so as to give everyone the possibility of making his contribution in the easiest and most convenient way.
