Another jewish new year for the girls and boys of lev gadol. This day is the symbol of the link created by the solidarity women, professionals and volunteers, with the children who attend to this program on a daily basis and during their vacations, and their families. From the beginning we received the support of the nci and their solidarity commission.
On that very special evening ariel kleiner, rabbi of the nci gave the blessings and rosh hashanah explanations. To learn more about the festivity children and grownups participated in a ‘knowledge raffle’.
The children were outstanding: the younger ones paraded dressed up according to the festivity, while the elder ones directed the event as though they were experienced masters of ceremonies. The traditional dinner was full of surprises and emotions: rikudim, songs in hebrew and messages from the enormous kartisei brajah (new year’s cards) written by those attending the event.
Towards the end of the evening, the children sang, accompanied by musical instruments they built from recycable materials.
Every year these families return to their homes happy to have enjoyed a special night, with a rosh hashanah basket which is annually donated by a family.

This activity was possible thanks to the generosity of the nueva congregación israelita, its board of directors and solidarity commission, as well as the active participation of rabbi ariel kleiner.
